Newest Buys

Well, in hopes of expanding my wardrobe, I have made some new buys. I want to be more stylish and wear more dresses. Also, I have been addicted to Cheap Jap so all my finds have been bargains.

First I hit up this new store by me called Francesca's Collections and they have been having so many discounts and sales in the last month, they offered recently a buy one get one free on scarves so of course, I had to get two.
The yellow is a lot more rich in person and the green is a lot less...puke colored! I love them though, whenever I have been feeling lazy I just throw on skinny jeans and a nuetral v-neck and wa la! Good to go!

The skinny jeans reminds me, Pac Sun has awesome skinny jeans, I recently picked up two pairs of the Hermosa skinny in two different washes, they are 2 for $55 and are super stretchy and comfortable, and, at 5ft, the fact that they come in short, regular, and long inseams means I don't have to cuff the pants.

Of course, senior year couldn't have eneded without senior week! We went to a beach where there are a TON of outlets, I mean everything! Problem is, at 5ft tall and a size two, things are hard to come by, but that didn't get me down!

I picked up two really nice looking pairs of shorts for $29.90 and two cute shirts and two cardigans (wool!) at the Abercrombie Outlet! I personally avoid all things Abercrombie, but the problem is, their stuff is made for people with no boobs, say hello to perfect fitting tops. I get the basics there and try to find stuff without a moose on it.

I was lastly on the hunt for easy cotton dresses I could wear around campus this summer for those nasty Math and Freshman Comp classes I am taking. I found an adorable Lucky Brand dress at a little boutique near me, except my version is in black.

The other dress I found was at American Eagle and I am super in love with it! Look at the lovely yellow shade! And it drapes so nicely and fits me perfectly.

What do you guys think of my new purchases? Cute? Yes or no? What did everyone else buy/bring to college?

Sharesys!

A Little TMI

I have been seeing sloppily dressed, fresh out of bed, zombie-like college students since I was little, but, ever since I entered high school I have thought "What will I look like?" I tend to follow the crowd a bit, I don't like to rock the boat, but I am defying the stereotype!

This project will follow my freshman year at Penn State University for the 2009-2010 school year, including the 2009 summer session. I will chronicle my outfits and shopping techniques and ideas in an attempt to remain chic without the restraints of my small prep school's dress code.

I find fashion almost as important as grades to me, when I look good I am happy and generally feel better about my day and surroundings, and clothes also give me the confidence to do well. If I look good, I speak up, I am adventurous. So, in an attempt to be AWESOME throughout my first year in a collegiate setting, I am setting up this blog.

Feel free to attempt this challenge with me and post your own pictures and shopping finds for next year.
